Community Reparation Project

Graceworks Justice Center and GraceWorks LLC are launching a community reparation project for at-risk youth. The program uses an evidence-based curriculum to teach youth emotional hygiene, restorative justice, and the impact of their actions. Youth, mentored by GraceWorks Justice Center staff and working alongside law enforcement officers in a collaborative setting, will repair harm caused to community members by performing property repairs (e.g., painting, gardening). The project aims to provide youth with valuable skills, repair harm caused to the community, and build bridges between youth and law enforcement. The first project starts in April. Community members who have been harmed by a crime can submit a victim impact statement to potentially receive services.

Victims, Your Voice Matters!

We want to hear your story. You've been harmed, and your voice deserves to be heard. Share your impact statement on our website for a chance to receive free repairs. Your participation helps at-risk youth learn, grow, and repair the harm they've caused, making our community stronger.

At-Risk Youth: Your Chance to Rebuild!

This project is about more than just repairing property; it's about repairing relationships. Through our program, you'll learn emotional hygiene and restorative justice principles, understanding that actions break more than laws – they break connections. Accountability isn't just about consequences; it's about owning the harm you've caused, working to repair that harm to victims, and rebuilding trust within our community. Join us, learn valuable skills, and become part of the solution. Help us make a positive change, one repair at a time.

Community: Building a Stronger Foundation
This project thrives on the strength of our community. Restorative justice requires more than just rules; it demands relationships. We invite mentors, volunteers, and community members to join us in this journey. Your support is vital in guiding at-risk youth, fostering positive relationships, and providing the necessary resources for change. Together, we'll build a safer, more supportive environment where accountability goes beyond punishment, and healing extends to victims, youth, and our entire community.

Parents and Caregivers: Your Essential Role

Parents and caregivers are integral to the success of this project. Your involvement is crucial in guiding and supporting the youth throughout this restorative justice process. By actively participating, you can help foster positive communication, encourage accountability, and reinforce the importance of repairing harm. We offer resources and support to equip you with the tools needed to help your children thrive. Your commitment to emotional hygiene, open dialogue, and embracing the principles of restorative justice will create lasting positive change for your children and our community.
